Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck
In this, the eighth book in the bestselling Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, Greg Heffley’s on a losing streak. His best friend, Rowley Jefferson, has abandoned him, and finding new friends in middle school is proving to be a tough task. To change his fortunes, Greg decides to take a leap of faith and turn his decisions over to chance. Will a roll of the dice turn things around, or is Greg’s life destined to be just another hard-luck story?
I really liked this book. I'm not one to usually read comedy books but although the book was quite unrealistic I really enjoyed it and it made me laugh (especially the front cover!) It completely changed my view of the books!
I have read this book before and I used to find diary of a wimpy kid amusing but that was when I was younger. Now I think the book is a bit too unrealistic, but if you like comedy you'll enjoy this book.
It was an ok book but I think it could have more information about the characters. Overall I would recommend this book for 10-14 year olds. :|
This is one of these books which once you have started you just cant put down. Hilariously funny, very entertaining and defiantly recommend :)

Diary of a Wimpy Kid is a hilariously funny book fore all ages, as long as they have a sense of humor! There are a few twists and turns set up by the author, Jeff Kinney, but at the end, all is well.
i really liked this book because it was so funny. i like how greg thinks he's going to be a millionaire but that rowleys just going to be his gardener. My favourite character is Rowley the one of the best bits (with rowley) is when he is scouting ahead for poo on all 4s for greg but then when hes with abigle greg steps in dog poo and he is wearing his new sneakers and when he told the teacher she thought that he was trying to skip the test he had been late for and he had to put his shoe it a plastic bag and everyone laughed at him. i would give it 11\10
